i had both knees replaced by Dr, Mathews. I was in and out of surgery the same day for each surgery. I folowed the post op rehab plan was up and going back to work in 8 weeks.
Dr. Mathews was very informative about the surgery, and answered all my questions.

Great doctor who has the most organized practice I have ever experienced. He has two very experienced liasons that field calls from patients. They responded very quickly to any concerns or problems that I had. He also has a great NP who was able to answer my health questions when Dr. Mathews was not available. Dr. Mathews delivered great results regarding my hip surgery and I could not be more pleased with the great service I received from him and his staff both pre and post operation.

Dr. Vasilios Mathews is the best orthopedic surgeon I know. His bed side manners puts you at ease and with confidence your surgery will come out great. He explains everything to you in a layman’s perspective and staff is very professional as well. I was worried about how my scar would look and it came out perfect. They only had 5 stars to rate but he is a 5 star plus.

Dr. Mathews is a skilled and caring physician. Since my knee replacement surgery, I have been able to return to my normal activities without any pain which greatly improved my quality of life. I recommend him and I would trust him with any other joint related orthopedic issues.

Surgery went great, I wish I would have stayed the night instead of day surgery. I could not remember some things because of anesthesia.

I had both of my hips done by Dr. Kearns, at Texas Orthopedics Hospital, years ago. Dr. Kearns retired and I was concerned would not not find anyone like him again…..he was a fantastic surgeon and I felt like he really cared about me and I wasn’t just “another patient”. I felt Dr. Mathews is the same. My recovery from “revision surgery” was not easy but 3 months later, I am writing you with no pain and all good. Dr. Mathews and his staff are fantastic and are always available, and responsive, post op, which is hard to find! Thank you Dr. Mathews!

Dr. Mathews is an excellent surgeon that listens and makes you feel as comfortable as possible with your treatment. I have used several orthopedic surgeons for different joints (osteoarthritis), and I put Dr. Mathews at the top of a long list.

Love the time management in the office, you set an appointment and that’s when you are see. Doctor takes his time to speak to you and even calls you with your results. So professional.

I made an appointment with Dr. Vasilios Mathews because both my hips were bothering me. After MRI's it showed bone on bone in both hips. He did a complete hip replacement on my right hip and 8 months later did my left hip. I could not believe what a difference it has made. I was up the same day walking and went home the next day. His bedside manner is amazing! He cares for his patients and has compassion and wants to make sure the surgery corrected the problem. When you call his office to ask a question his staff is very professional and makes sure you are satisfied.
They even follow up with a survey at 2 weeks post of and again 3-6 months. Go see him because he is the best hip doctor at Texas Orthopedic Hospital!
